New Manual has created a privacy policy (policy for the protection of personal information) in order to define the manner in which personal information will be handled in regard to the services provided by this website (hereinafter "the service").
- Article 1: Definitions

- "Personal Information" is taken to be personal information as stipulated by the Personal Information Protection Act. This is information that applies to a living individual, and includes but is not restricted to their name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and contact details; any form of information that allows a specific individual to be identified.
- From among personal information, historical information and characteristic information is considered to be outside of the above personal information, and includes but is not restricted to services used, products purchased, histories of pages and adverts looked at, search keywords, dates of use, methods of use, use environments, postal codes, gender, profession, age, IP addresses, cookie data, positional data, and device identification information.
- Article 2: Acquisition of Personal Information

- When a user registers to use the service we may ask for personal information such as their name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank number, and credit card number. Personal information may also be collected from records of dealings between users and our partners, etc., that include personal information, or information concerning payments collected by partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertisement destinations, hereinafter "partners").
- The service will collect historical information and characteristic information concerning users, including but not restricted to services used, products purchased, histories of pages and adverts looked at, search keywords, dates of use, methods of use, use environments (including the communications status when using a portable device, its settings information, etc.), IP addresses, cookie data, positional data, and device identification information when the user makes use of the services provided by the company or partners, or when they view pages.
- Article 3: Use of Personal Information

The company shall acquire and use personal information for the following purposes.
- Management and support of users.
- Sending products, etc., to users.
- Advertising, promotion, solicitation of sales, and promotional campaigns.
- Sending online magazines, creating and sending mail magazines, conducting surveys.
- Marketing activities, after processing the information so that specific individuals may not be identified.
- Provision of other content related to the service.
- Article 4: Consignment of Handling of Personal Information
- The company may, within the prescribed range of use as outlined in Article 3, consign all or any part of user information to a third party. Those companies to whom such consignment is performed will be selected for their rigorous level of protection for the said information, and an agreement shall be concluded with them concerning the handling of personal information.
- Article 5: Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party

The company shall not disclose or provide personal information acquired from users to any third party, apart from in the
following circumstances.
- When allowed by the previous Article.
- With the consent of the user.
- When processed so that the original user cannot be identified, for use as statistical data.
- When user information is requested to be used or presented to a third party, and when compliance is permitted or demanded by laws or ordinances.
- When requested by a national organization or municipal body, such as a court or the police.
- When the company determines that there is a risk to the life, health, or assets of the user.
- When provision is permitted under any other circumstances by the Personal Information Protection Act.
- Article 6: Voluntary Provision
- All personal information collected by the company is taken to have been provided voluntarily by the user. Failure to provide the required information may prevent users from being able to use the service.
- Article 7: Disclosure of Personal Information

When a user requests disclosure of their own personal information, the company shall disclose it to them without
delay. However, if the company determines that any of the following apply to the circumstances of said disclosure, the
company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information. If such a determination is made, notification to that
effect must be made without delay.
① When the company determines that there is a risk to the life, health, or assets of the user themselves or a third party.
② When doing so may disrupt the proper operation of the duties of the company.
③ Any other circumstances that contravene laws and ordinances.
- Regardless of the previous stipulations of this Article, any information outside of personal information, such as historical information or characteristic information, shall in principle never be disclosed.

When a user requests disclosure of their own personal information, the company shall disclose it to them without

- Article 8: Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

- If the user notices an error with their own personal information held by the service, they may use the procedure determined by the service to request the correction or deletion of the personal information.
- If the service receives a request such as in the previous Item and determines that it must be adhered to, the service shall correct or delete the personal information without delay and then notify the user.
- Article 9: Changes to Privacy Policy

- The content of the privacy policy may be changed without notification to users.
- Any changes to the privacy policy relating to the service will take effect from the moment that they are posted on this website.
