A collaboration with Buzz Rickson’s*.
Based on flight jackets issued until the mid-1970s.
Known as the “J-WFS (winter flying suit),” this G-8, commonly called the WEP, was developed for cold-weather use by the U.S. Navy Bureau of Aeronautics in the mid-1950s.
Because the letters “WEP” appear on the label from late-1950s models onward, it is also known as the “WEP JACKET.”

This piece references the definitive late-model version and follows the authentic details: functional gusseted pockets on both sides of the chest, a cigarette pocket on the left sleeve,
V-shaped knit cuffs characteristic of late models, a tight elastic hem that keeps out the wind, and action pleats on the back for unrestricted arm movement.
The short version faithfully reproduces the vintage fit while being updated for easy modern wear.

*A brand that relentlessly pursues the history and pride of flight jackets, meticulously adhering to fabrics, parts, stitching, and form based on the MIL SPEC (Military Specification) of the era.
